Unemployed

I went to a job fair this morning. It was about what I was expecting but at least I got to wear my suit. Only three people were hiring biology folks. One told me that I was over-experienced for her "very entry-level" jobs, and under qualified for any thing else. The lady at the fish and wildlife booth was really cool and seemed to get excited when I said I has a passion for fish. Then I re-applied for a job that I have already applied for. Maybe this time they'll pick me. But really I just want to teach your children science.

Hopefully next week I'll be able to start subing at a big 'ol school district that's about an hour south of my house. It would be great to get experience in front of a classroom, and maybe meet people who will want to hire me as a full time teacher.

In the midst of all this unemployment, I haven't really even gotten the stuff I always thought I'd do if I didn't have work or school.
